Built by Small Landlords, For Small Landlords
OntarioLandlord exists because we experienced firsthand how confusing it is to navigate the LTB. We built the tool we wished we had.
Like many Ontario landlords in Toronto, Ottawa, and across the GTA, I started with a single rental property and a lot of questions. When my first tenant fell behind on rent, I had no idea what to do. The Landlord Tenant Board forms were confusing, the RTA rules seemed arbitrary, and every website I found was either outdated or designed for American landlords—not Ontario's unique system.
I learned the hard way that small mistakes—a wrong date on a notice, missing documentation, disorganized evidence—can cost you weeks of delays or even lose your case entirely. The LTB doesn't give second chances for paperwork errors.
After my second property and another round of confusion, I decided to build the tool I wished existed: something simple, Ontario-specific, and focused on what small landlords actually need—not another bloated property management system with features designed for massive portfolios.
OntarioLandlord handles the paperwork so you can focus on being a landlord.
What We Believe
Ontario-First
Generic tools don't work for Ontario landlords. Every feature is built specifically for the Residential Tenancies Act and LTB procedures.
Small Landlord Focus
We build for small landlords who manage their own portfolios. Simple, LTB-compliant, and no enterprise bloat.
Transparency
We're a tool, not a legal service. We clearly state what we do and don't do, and we never pretend to offer legal advice.
Based in Ontario
OntarioLandlord is built and operated in Ontario, Canada. We understand the local market because we're part of it.
